Dead Ducx

Biography : 

Old skatepunk band from Italy. Released a vinyl in 1995 and they were about to release a full lenght CD in 1996 but it never came out. Some CD copies of the album were released 15 years later under the name Aborted Album. You can listen to that album entirely on soundcloud.

Modern Empty Guys

 

Biography: 
Modern Empty Guys started in the area of Lombardi, Italy under the name Switch Back Side. After a bassist change in the lineup they used the name No Track For Sale for the time of a show then they finally changed their name to Moder Empty Guys (MEG) The same year they released their first demo titled Useles. After the release of that demo their singer leaves the band so the two guitarists Nico and Lore replaced him, both of them singing some songs each other. With only 2 demos released the band did show a lot of talent and potential. Their music was mainly influenced by californian punk scene (Fat Wreck) and they had really good melodies and a sound of their own.

2weak

Biography : 
2weak was a band from Napoli, Italy. The band starts in 1997 as a 3-piece, and with influences from californian skatepunk bands in the Fat Wreck style. After their second CD I Against I and many lineup changes, the band become influenced by bands like Samiam, Senses Field..

Lockdown

 

Biography : 
Lockdown was a band from Bologna, Italy that started in 2004. The 4 members were in previous bands Burning Flags, More Or Less and No Way. Soon after the formation of the band they record a 9-song CD that will be released in 2005 on Akom Productions. Their music was fast melodic skatepunk, mainly influenced by Satanic Surfers and NOFX.

Pinballs

 

Biography : 
Pinballs was a skatepunk band from Vicenza, Italy. They released a 7-song demo in 1999 and were supposed to release another CD around 2002, which I don't know if it finally was released.

Scotch Woodcock

Biography : 
Scotch Woodcock was a skatepunk from Italy. They were influenced by Californian bands like NOFX, Strung Out and Lagwagon. Members of the band also played in punk bands MoleCricket, Middle Finger Response and Seed N' Feed.

Fast skatepunk band from Italy that was on Agitato Records. They also appeared on the compilation Breaking In The Scene.

Uncollected Harmony

Needless to say, Italy has one of the best skatepunk/melodic hardcore scene! Not that much big names, but many bands doing quality music. This is the first Italian band that I put here but there will be many more for sure. About Uncollected Harmony, all I can say is that they started in 2000 and in 2001 released a small demo. I think they disbanded not long after. This is a very unknown band.. and maybe not the most fast and technical one, but I think it's good to know them!
