Pkg.
Biography :
pkg. (package) was founded in 1996 as "Poor Kids on Glue" with no specific purpose apart from having foodfights and making noise skate punk. Since then the band has been through quite some changes. After these line-up changes 4 boys decided to make the demo ; "A present for someone you don't like" early '98. By then the band was already called P.K.G.. During that period the center of Holland was terrorized by stickers with a funny head and those 3 letters. Luckily for mankind these sticky inflicters of annoyance are allmost out of stock, though one can still find them in certain places recently visited by the band.
Not very long after that demo Menno came to help Mark W. to sound a lot fatter. After a while two dots were thrown out of the name and a little package was formed. The last and so far final change came when Mark R. (by then already roadie, sound-man, I wanna do something) was summoned to memorize the bass-lines. We've been happily married ever since...When Mark finally could play all the songs they could think of some new material. These thoughts grew stronger and stronger and erupted round Oct. '99 when they recorded the new demo c.q. maxi-CD. And they titled it: 'as good as new' which is very true of course. Not very long after the release of this demo Mark W. decided to quit pkg. to spent more time with his new band Fair Fight. After which we remained with the 4 of us again.
